The aim of this work package is to improve the current standard definition of the amplitude probability distribution (APD) measuring function in EMI measuring receivers. This work package consists of providing a new standard definition of the APD measuring function as an interference detector such that the CISPR/CIS/A can update the sections and annex of the CISPR 16-1-1 standard. Then time-domain techniques will be combined with the APD interference detection to parallelize EMI assessments in multiple communications bands and with different resolution bandwidths. A methodology will be developed to derive the emissions limits formal APD detector requirements considering inherent robustness of the communication system and the digital communication quality metrics. Finally, a calibration method for the APD measuring function will be developped and validated.
